Keep Your Car in Top Condition: How to Test Your Battery

A major element of keeping your car consistently in top condition is taking a consistent proactive approach to maintenance. Part of that process is testing your battery on a regular basis. Testing your battery begins with obtaining a voltmeter, the instrument that tests the health of your car battery.

Place the positive lead from the voltmeter onto the positive battery terminal. Repeat the process with the negative lead and the negative terminal. The voltmeter will provide a readout on the state of your battery. Once that process is over, remove the negative lad first and then take off the positive one.

If you discover that your battery no longer is in prime condition, you are wise to get a replacement. Visit us at BMW of Nashville, conveniently located in Nashville, to deal with all of your battery replacement needs.
