As a premium grand touring model, the beautiful BMW 8 Series is fully capable of taking you down the road in style. This luxury vehicle introduced its second-generation to eager drivers in 2019 with the debut of new styling and features. In 2023, the BMW 8 Series is a continuation of this second generation, and it is offered in your choice of a convertible or coupe body style. The design is unchanged from the preceding model year, and it continues to display deep contours on sleek side panels and an aerodynamic, low-profile roofline. While many aspects of the 2023 8 Series hold steady, there is one important update that could sway your selection. The 840i, the base 8 Series trim level, now includes the M Sport package’s features as standard equipment. This change standardizes an upgraded braking system, 19-inch wheels, black accents, and sport seats.
The capabilities of the 2023 8 Series have not changed. The 840i continues to have a turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 335 horsepower. The M850i xDrive, the M Performance version of the 8 Series, has a V8, 4.4-liter, 523-horsepower engine. An adaptive suspension system and an eight-speed auto transmission are standard with both powertrains.
Both trim levels are masterfully equipped. If you opt for the 840i, your 8 Series will have adaptive LED headlights, soft-close doors, heated front seats, heated armrests, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, and multi-color ambient lighting. Both trim levels have premium technologies, including a 10.25-inch touch display screen, a navigation system, a lane departure warning, a heads-up display, wireless device charging, and forward collision mitigation. Choose to drive the M850i xDrive. Your 8 Series will have an auto parking system, a surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, an adaptive sport suspension system, a sport-tuned transmission, and active roll stabilization.
