Some brands have just another summer sales incentive.
But BMW has something a little different in mind: the BMW Drive for a Cause Event:
Trudy Hardy, vice president of marketing for BMW of North America, says of the event:
"'Drive for a Cause' is more than a summer sales initiative — it's a meaningful part of what we do to support Team USA and other important local charitable endeavors ... Any time you can get people behind the wheel of a BMW while simultaneously generating attention and raising money for worthy charities, it's a win-win."
BMW isn't the only brand to include charitable giving as a part of their vehicle sales; automakers like Subaru, Ford, and Chrysler all have programming that donates money for test drives, sales, or vehicle leasing--but their programs don't let you drive a brand-new BMW 3 Series, 5 Series sedan, or X Series SUV.
We think we know which way you'd rather choose to support local philanthropy.
