2021 BMW X7 vs 2020 BMW X7
Serving Brentwood, TN
The BMW X7 is a full-size luxury SUV that is ideal for drivers who refuse to accept anything less than excellence on the road. Since the X7’s introduction in 2019, it has been the largest SUV offered by BMW. It also continues to be BMW’s flagship model. While the X7 is the first-generation version for both 2020 and 2021, BMW has enhanced the model in exciting ways for the latest model year. After you get familiar with the updates, you can confidently pick out your next SUV from our inventory at BMW of Nashville.
Performance
This three-row vehicle is offered in several time levels. While the trim levels are outfitted with different powertrains and mechanical features, they are engineered to impress you. The xDrive40i is the base trim level, and it continues to be equipped with a turbo I-6, 3.0-liter engine that generates 335 horsepower. The xDrive50i’s trim level has been deleted for 2020. The M50i continues to have a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that puts out 456 horsepower. The Alpina XB7 is the top-of-the-line trim level, and it is a new addition for 2021. If you select this X7 trim, your SUV will be outfitted with a bi-turbo variant of the V8 engine. With this upgraded powertrain, you can enjoy the feel of 612 horsepower under your control.
Appearance
Most of the X7’s style components are unchanged between the 2020 and 2021 model years. However, the Dark Shadow package is introduced in 2021 and will be available for a limited time. It brings enhanced accents and paints to the table. For both years, some or all of the X7 trims may have quad exhaust finishers, up to 21-inch wheels, high-performance tires, roof rails, a rear spoiler, and other thoughtful features.
Features
Most of the interior and safety features in the 2020 BMW X7 are also included in the 2021 X7. These include a HiFi sound system, a 12.3-inch digitalized cluster, a navigation system, USB ports, wireless connectivity, wireless charging, remote engine start, key memory, memory functions for the front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered interior sunshade, a power tailgate, front collision sensing, speed limit sign recognition, a lane departure sensor, and others.
