Serving Brentwood, TN
At BMW of Nashville, our customers often compare the 2 Series and the 4 Series. These beautiful coupes share many traits, but a closer look reveals striking differences. For example, the 4 Series is also offered in a soft-top convertible body style. This only touches the surface of their differences. What other exciting differences will you discover when you take a deeper look at the 2022 BMW 2 Series and the 2022 BMW 4 Series?
Performance
While there are exciting differences across these two models, you will not find any significant differences under the hood. The lower trims are outfitted with a turbo four-cylinder, 255-horsepower engine for both models. This comes with a rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The top trims for both models have a turbo V6 engine that generates 382 horsepower. It is paired with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Appearance
The 2 Series and the 4 Series are easy to differentiate throughout the exterior. The 2 Series has a tapered profile with a long, defined hood and a curved roof that flows over a raked rear window. A thin, short grille adorns the nose. It is combined with a robust bumper design and edgy headlights to add character to the front end. The 2 Series is equally beautiful from the side view. The door panels have smooth accents that flow cleanly to the molded rear fenders. Strong rocker panels add support to the design.
The 4 Series has a taller, rounded roof, which creates a flat trunk lid toward the back of the car. On the front, the 4 Series has a prominent grille that edges to the bottom of the bumper. The angled headlights have multiple elements for the character. Strong accents span the side doors, and the rear haunches have bold definitions.
Features
The differences between the 2 Series and the 4 Series continue with their available and included features. A few of their common traits are a high-end sound system, remote vehicle access, adaptive headlights, a heads-up display, heated front seats with leather upholstery, an automated parking system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a large infotainment system screen. The 4 Series has several additional features that you will not find in the 2 Series. These are a sunroof for the coupe body style, neck warmers for the convertible, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a tri-zone climate management system, Live Cockpit Professional, and voice recognition.
