2023 BMW 7 Series vs 2022 BMW 7 Series
Serving Brentwood, TN
The BMW 7 Series has impressed drivers for years with its stylish design and dependable performance. Now in its seventh generation, the 7 Series gets a refresh for 2023. At BMW of Nashville, we're here to help you choose the perfect sedan, and we're excited to share the differences between the 2022 and 2023 models of the 7 Series.
Performance
The 2023 7 Series offers three powertrain options. The mild-hybrid engine produces 375 horsepower with a turbo 3.0-liter inline-six. The turbo V8 engine offers 536 horsepower, and both are paired with an eight-speed auto transmission. There's also a plug-in hybrid powertrain available. In 2022, the 7 Series came with a turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine producing 335 horsepower, and a plug-in hybrid variant with 389 combined horsepower. Two additional powertrains were offered: a turbo V8 engine delivering 523 horsepower, and a turbo V12 engine producing 601 horsepower.
Appearance
The 2022 BMW 7 Series had a sleek, elongated profile with a tall, two-part grille, beefy air vents, and double-scooped LED headlights. The 2023 model has a redesigned front with a longer hood, sharper corners, a horizontal crease crossing the nose, and larger air vents. The slanted, thinner LED headlights have a more aggressive appearance.
Features
For 2023, the BMW 7 Series adds hands-free highway driving assistance and upgrades the navigation system and infotainment features. The dashboard is backlit, and materials like open-pore wood and stainless-steel trim are introduced. For both years, the sedan's trims offer heated and massaging seats in both rows, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, premium leather upholstery, forward collision mitigation, a surround-view camera, parking sensors, a four-zone auto climate control system, a power-sliding panoramic sunroof, a digital instrumentation panel, and other exciting features.
