What's New for the 2023 BMW iX?
The BMW iX immediately captured the attention of SUV shoppers in Nashville and beyond when it debuted in 2022. This premium, midsize crossover offers the complete luxury that you expect from a BMW with all-electric capabilities. While the iX is only a year old, BMW introduces a bold improvement for the 2023 model year. This is the release of the M60 trim. As the top trim that is now available, it has a few additional features and more robust power than the base trim.
The base trim's capabilities are unchanged, including 516 horsepower pulled from a dual-motor system. The M60 trim also has a dual-motor design and delivers 610 horsepower. Both trims have all-wheel drive and a battery range of 288 miles. The base trim's optional Dynamic Handling package includes an adaptive air suspension and four-wheel steering. These features are standard for the M60.
The façade holds steady from 2022 to 2023, but the new M60 introduces a few exterior features. The iX continues to be defined through rigid, contemporary accents, including on the front air vents and across the lower door panels. The large, kidney-shaped grille stands in beautiful contrast to the thin, LED headlights. The base iX trim has tinted glass on the panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, and 20-inch wheels. The top trim adds soft-close doors, performance or all-season tires, and 21-inch wheels.
The iX's cabin style is unchanged and offers spacious, modern accommodations. The base trim features a 14.9-inch central display screen and a 12.3-inch curved driver's screen. This trim also comes with an iDrive 8 system, a navigation system, a lane departure warning, synthetic leather, parking sensors, six USB ports, an automated parking system, a wireless device charging station, and wireless connections for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some optional features at the base level and included in the M60 are wood trim, a 30-speaker B&W sound system, a wireless hotspot, a cabin camera, and massaging front seats.
