Serving Brentwood, TN
With the BMW X5’s premium capabilities and overall luxury, deciding to narrow down your search for a used vehicle to this model is easy to do. However, the 2017 and 2018 versions of the X5 are packed with many of the same features across their various trim levels. After getting to know more about their differences, you can more confidently pick out your new X5 from our extensive inventory at BMW of Nashville.
Performance
For 2017 and 2018, the X5 is offered in the same five trim levels. While the capabilities of this midsize crossover vary by trim, most of the trims for both model years come with all-wheel drive as standard equipment. The base engine for both model years is an inline-six, 3.0-liter turbo engine that will impress you with its 300-horsepower output. The V6 diesel engine delivers a higher torque rating and 255 horsepower. There is also a 445-horsepower V8 engine. If you prefer to drive a green vehicle, you can choose the 308-horsepower, plug-in hybrid engine.
Appearance
For 2017 and 2018, the BMW X5 is a three-row model that commands the road. At the same time, it has sultry curves that accentuate its power and athleticism. The nose of both models is the same. It features a segmented and chrome-accented grille, circular LED foglights, and jewel-like LED headlights. There are subtle differences on the sides of these vehicles. The 2017 X5 has chiseled sides with an air vent near the fender. The 2018 X5 has smoother sides with gentle undulations for definition.
Features
Both the 2017 and 2018 X5 crossovers are well-equipped with modern technologies and sophisticated materials. For example, both options are available with a wireless charging station, a wireless internet connection, a power liftgate, a multi-zone climate management system, memory settings and heat for the driver’s seat, a folding second row, an available third row, a navigation system, smart device integration and a slew of assistive driver’s aids.
