Performance
The 2023 X5 comes with a 335-horsepower, turbo 3.0-liter, six-cylinder gas engine, along with a V8, turbo 4.4-liter, 523-horsepower system, and a V6 plug-in hybrid system that produces 389 total horsepower. The 2024 X5 features mild-hybrid technology in both the gas engines, resulting in a bump in horsepower for the V6 engine to 375, while the V8 engine remains unchanged. The plug-in hybrid engine has also been reworked and now offers 483 combined horsepower.
Appearance
The 2024 X5 boasts some noticeable changes to its exterior design. While the 2023 X5 has strong, angled accents through the hood and sides, the 2024 X5 features smooth, linear undulations through the sides and light molding. The front has been completely restyled with two arrow-shaped LED bars in the headlights and a pair of tall gills below them. The lower fascia also has a three-sided accent bar for added differentiation.
Features
The 2024 X5 introduces new features, including hands-free highway driving assistance, iDrive eight infotainment technology, and a curved central display screen. Other features offered for both model years include leather upholstery, a Harman Kardon audio system, massaging and heated front seats, automated parking, emergency stop assist, a surround-view camera, a four-zone climate control system, rear window shades, embedded lights in the panoramic sunroof, a wireless internet hotspot, a wireless charging pad, remote engine start, an optional third row of seats, a head-up display, and more.
